Here is our most recent sensory bin. It includes a pack of farm animals from Walmart that also came with the fences and trees, a Little People tractor, and the filler is spanish moss from Dollar Tree.
My little man loved the tractor the best. He is a huge fan of cars and anything with wheels.
He also liked pulling apart the pieces of spanish moss.
I liked the spanish moss as a base for this sensory bin because it resembles hay, but I can also see using it for lots of different kinds of sensory bins.
If you would like some more resources on this topic, see past posts on farm activities, farm books, and more farm books. Here are some books to go along with farm animals:
What kind of sensory bins/tables have you been making?

Yes, it was so fun. My son has been making animal sounds for a while now, but is just starting to "act out" things with them.
DeleteI haven't even (formally) thought of sensory activites but I know that we do them. Thanks for putting the bee in my bonnet. I've bookmarked your "Thinky Linky thursday". Great idea and name!

Thanks for stopping by. Sensory bins are some of our favorite things now and Pinterest is a wonderful source for ideas!
DeleteThis is wonderful - we've just started with Sensory bins with my youngest (15 months) and it's so much fun. Thank you for linking up to Tuesday Tots and wanted to let you know that I will be featuring this idea as one of my favourites this week on Rainy Day Mum
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the feature. I grabbed the button and placed it on my awards page. It's such an honor!!!
