Tutorial Tuesday: Donors Choose
Hello everyone! I'm Mrs. Jessica Stanford from
I am so excited that Lori has given me this wonderful opportunity to blog to you!!!
After hearing from so many of you I realized that there are far fewer teacher bloggers on donorschoose.org than I thought!! If you are a public school teacher and you are not on donorschoose you need to get started now!! So for that very reason I'm going to show you how easy it is!!
If you would like to tell your friends and coworkers about donorschoose feel free to use or pin this button :)
If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or just plain ol comments let me know Jessica.Stanford@me.com!! If you like what you see, why don't you follow me?

Sponge Painting
Here is little man sponge painting. |
He decided to stick the sponges to the paper instead of using them to paint. |
Messy little hands. I love watching them play. |
Making moon prints. Our sponges were shaped like stars, planets, etc. |
Having a good time painting. |
We just used a paper plate with some paint on it and taped the paper to the sliding door. |
We got the door a little messy, so I decided to let him help me clean it. |
Cleaning the door window with sponge and soapy water. |
He figured out how to stick the sponges to the window! |

Bowling for Tots
We decided to take the little squirt bowling today. So, in preparation, I made him his own bowling set using circles drawn on paper, water bottles for pins and some tape to make the lane.
L really loved setting up the pins. |
He didn't feel like rolling the ball down the lane though, he stood next to them and threw the ball at them. Thank goodness it wasn't a bowling ball!
Here he is pushing the reset buttons. He loved watching people bowl and watching the balls come out of the return. |
L watching his ball roll slowly toward the pins. |
We used bumpers for him and sat the ball on the floor and had him push it. Eventually he understood that he was supposed to push the ball toward the pins. He was good about not running down the lane. Though the ball rolled slowly, he thought it was great fun watching it hit the pins.

Wildflower Hunt
We went to the Metro Gardens a few weeks ago and walked along the boardwalk trail. We happened to pick up this brochure that shows different types of wildflowers and where you can find each of them along the trail between the numbered markers.
While I was not able to take any photos of wildflowers on the trail while pushing a stroller, I do have some from around the neighborhood (Thanks to hubby).
I also found a website where you can put in all the information about wildflowers and it will identify the flower. There is an app that you can download for your phone as well.
