Hello all! I am sorry I haven't posted for a while. Been busy with work and sick baby. Anyways, we took a trip to COSI (Ohio's Center of Science and Industry), a museum for kids. In the little kids' playspace, we ended up in the water area. It's little man's favorite. I decided to talk about some of the book in this area for Storytime Sunday and how you can use these water-friendly books to incorporate literacy in your water table area or wherever you might play with water!
So here are some concepts that preschool children can learn from playing with water.
Here are some of the waterproof books. These are about different sea animals. They are also fun because they have squeakers in them.
Here is Rainbow Fish which we all know, but I never knew they had a bathtime version of it.
These books are wonderful for any type of water play including bath time. There are also a couple Sandra Boynton books as well that are great! Have fun splishing and splashing!!!
